Our Service Department is open: 


Monday to Friday 8.30am – 6.00pm, Saturday 8.30am – 2.30pm 


Our top priority remains the well-being of everyone.   


Our latest processes and procedures support all restrictions advised. This includes social distancing, enhanced hygiene measures and updated operating processes. 


Here are some examples of the changes we have taken to keep everyone safe.  


  • New Signage throughout the Customer Areas – A reminder to keep 2 metres apart from other customers and staff. 

 

  • Hand sanitising stations – Introduced as you enter the centre.   

 

  • New screens at workstations - for everyone’s protection.   

 

The Government has announced that as of 24th July,  all retail environments including shops, supermarkets, showrooms amongst others, must ensure that all visitors must wear a face covering on entering the premises. As such Sandal is required to comply to this measure throughout our dealerships to further restrict COVID-19. 


Your Service Appointment 


Appointment Time - All bookings will have a specific appointment time. Please adhere to this time to help us keep control of the number of people on-site at any given time. 


Preparing for visiting – Please ensure that you only bring one key (unless the repair is related to keys) and remove all personal belongings from your vehicle. Your key will be sanitised at the point of handover. 


On Arrival - Please follow the customer guidance displays, maintaining the 2-metre social distancing requirements at all times.   


Drop & Go  We would politely ask that you ‘Drop and Go’ and you will be advised a time for collection. There is the option to see a Service Advisor or to complete an express check-in envelope should you wish to avoid any unnecessary contact.  


We have made several 2-hour waiting appointments available; however, your requirements should be discussed at the point of booking to ensure this is practical and we can accommodate this whilst maintaining social distancing. Unfortunately, there will be no refreshments available at this time. 


Servicing - The Technicians will use a vehicle protection pack which includes gloves and seat covers. To minimised contact with your vehicles, there will be no usual Service Wash and Vac, however, all touchpoints will be sanitised before returning your vehicle to you. 


Vehicle Collection – If it is your preference for your visit to be paperless, we can alternatively send any documentation by email. We are encouraging where possible contactless payment however card machines are available, and these are sanitised before use. 


We are delighted to take your bookings, and it is imperative that we continue to control the number of customers in our dealerships at any one time. Q: What is the best way to make an enquiry or a booking? 

A: In the first instance please call us, let’s talk. Once we understand your requirements and circumstances, we can plan together on how best to proceed.

Q: Can I wait for my vehicle?  

A: Yes, you can wait for your vehicle, please discuss when booking. We are asking all customers to leave their vehicle with us and depart if they can. As you can imagine we would like to reduce the number of people inside the premises to as few as possible to keep everyone safe. 

 

Q: Can I have a loan vehicle whilst my vehicle is in?  

A: We are unable to supply you with a loan vehicle at present. We have not established a way to make a vehicle safe with a rotation of multiple occupants. This may change in the future, however, right now we don’t have a safe solution and will not put our customers and staff at increased risk. 

 

Q: My MOT is/was due, do I need to have it done?  

A: We would recommend you do have an MOT carried out as soon as possible.  

 

The Government have provided a 6-month grace period for any vehicle with an MOT due date of 30th March 2020 and August 1st, 2020. However, whilst you have an extension and do not need a new up to date MOT certificate, owners are still required to ensure their vehicle is safe to use on the roads, roadworthiness is still legally enforced. We are carrying out MOT tests and would suggest the only way for you to be certain that your vehicle meets all legal expectations for use on the public roads, is to get booked in. 

 

As of 29th June, the Government have confirmed that if your MOT is due on or after August 1st, you will be required to get a test certificate to continue driving your vehicle.
