Prompt and courteous service
It was easy to book a service at a convenient time to me. It was ready to collect when promised, they had completed everything required, it was clearly explained to me what they had done, answered my questions and it was slightly cheaper than quoted.
Good service. Reasonable prices for a dealership. Equipped customer waiting area. Able to book through the Connected app
Always expect the Vehicle status reset & has been in the past. Had new rear brake pads fitted, it wasn't reset. - Disapointed. I asked if the new tyre that was required for the rear could be put on the front & was told it would be. It wasn't.

Service on the car was fine. Disappointed in having to leave a £20 note as deposit on the fuel, especially after the damage that Sandal BMW caused to my car during the previous visit. This doesn't happen at other garages...

When car 1st booked in on arrival was told would need to rebook as needed more time for the job in hand. Inconvenient!! However on 2nd time all went very efficiently.
Good service, no drama
Overall I was extremely satisfied with the service I received however when I received the car there was a defect with the drivers door wing mirror.
Even though my car advised service was due, after about an hour of waiting I was advised that the service wasn't due only a brake oil change who was carried. I now have to book the car in again for the service another time consuming trip.

As Sandal's marketing team state "Privately owned putting the customer first". Sandal BMW Wakefield are first class, why would i travel from York to Wakefield, because they are not part of major motor group. Long may this continue.
9.30 appointment made. At 11am I had to ask when tyre change would be done as I had another appointment. Was advised there is a 2 hour window for the work. Would have preferred to know that when booking.

I had requested to change the default settings of various modes on my vehicle but not a single one was able to be adjusted. I think BMW ought to build more flexibility into the Service Settings so that vehicles can be tailored to owner requirements

The only problem I had was that my car was washed before I took it back which I normally appreciate but on this occasion the car hadn't been dried/polished properly so looked worse that before it was washed.
Sandal have proved to be very customer focused, a characteristic which in reality is sadly missing in much of the auto trade.

Wheel insurance product sold is not adequate enough. They refer you too a third party and can't do the job required. The BMW job isn't any good on the wheel refurb either.
I was able to hire a courtesy car for the day at a minimal cost which is vital when you only have one car. I was dealt with very efficiently by the technician.
After the service the car drives better
The car was collected from our home for the service. The staff are always very helpful, knowledgable and pleasant.
They wanted me to to take a loan car and leave my car. They lied and said the service takes 3 to 3.5 hours, it's 40 minute to drive from my home so I would rather have waited. However, I had to take the loan car and they charged me £18 for loan car

I don't like the current system used to book vehicles in as you don't deal with the service department at Wakefield directly. The last two times I have been in, the wrong work is planned and courtesy card have not been available as promised.

BMW sales assistant was ok. Vehicle required a new windscreen (cost nearly £1500) but vehicle returned unwashed, despite being assured it would be washed. Reason given, they didn't want to wet a car with a new windscreen but even the inside was dirty

Staff friendly and helpful
Work appears to have been carried out in accordance with that requested at the price quoted for first service & alignment check. Warranty work also completed however there is evidence of damage having been caused to the rear valance of my car.

Service took only 2 hrs and was ready on time. Car was cleaned ,even though it was a dreadful day weather wise .Cost was what I expected.
Cannot fault the Service Rep as he was fine. Cost me less than quoted for the service.
Simple and quick service, I park and leave the keys and then a phone call later (with ample time for me to get to the garage) to let me know it's ready to pick up.

Initial contact good: booking in. Collecting car: long wait, member if staff was clearly in a hurry, essentially, here's the card machine, your car is out the front. No goodbye, have a nice day or anything, felt I was in a cheap discount store! Poor!

Too long await. Car not ready..! Not properly washed.. definitely no quality in care...very poor. Functions inside car adjusted. A/c on full. Car seat position changed. My wheels were disgusting after the wash.

Sales experience was first class. However some technical issues around tow bar wiring were not handled any better by service than the same issues back in 2011.
