Key Protection is based on a very simple idea that keys are lost or stolen every year and the chance of return of these keys to the owner is less than 2%.

Lock & Key Facts

• More than 500,000 keys are lost or stolen each year.
• More than 100,000 locks or barrels are replaced each year due to breakages.

Cover is available (up to £500 inc. of VAT) for the person names on the Validation Certificate together with the members of their household normally residing with them.

What is covered

• The cost of replacing locks or keys, including fitting, if the keys to your vehicle, home or your normal place of work are stolen or accidentally lost with any details of your vehicle registration number or home address.
• If we cannot gain entry to your vehicle, we will recover you and your vehicle to your home address or to the nearest suitable dealer.
• The cost of a hire-car and other reasonable transportation charged for a maximum of three days subject to our prior approval.
• A repairer to gain entry to your home and make secure the point of entry.

Eligibility

You are eligible for this cover if:

• Your vehicle is less than 7 years old and has less than 75,000 recorded miles at inception of the policy.
• Your vehicle is less than 3500Kg in weight.
